Financial Aid

To be eligible for financial aid if you are a current student, you need to be registered in the summer for at least 5 credit hours (6 credit hours for professional students). If you are enrolled in multiple sessions in summer, the sum of the credit hours from each session must add up to this required total for summer.

There is no separate financial aid application or FAFSA for summer. The FAFSA completed for the academic year 2023-2024 applies to Summer 2024. All degree-seeking students who have a FAFSA on file with Office of Student Financial Aid will automatically be considered for financial aid after they register for summer courses. For more information visit Summer Financial Aid. You can also contact your financial aid counselor for more information.

If you receive an award for summer, you will receive an email instructing you to view your Electronic Award Letter by logging in to my.UIC.edu.

If you are not eligible for financial aid, the OSFA website also has information on private loans.
