To be eligible for financial aid if you are a current student, you need to be registered in the summer for at least 6 credit hours (5 credit hours for the Graduate College and School of Public Health). If you are enrolled in multiple sessions in summer, the sum of the credit hours from each session must add up to this required total for summer.
There is no separate financial aid application for summer. All degree-seeking students who have a 2014-2015 FAFSA on file with Office of Student Financial Aid will automatically be considered for financial aid. For more information visit the Office of Student Financial Aid Summer Financial Aid webpage. You can also contact your financial aid counselor for more information.
If you receive an award for summer, you will receive an email instructing you to view your Electronic Award Letter by logging in to my.UIC and checking the “Finances” tab .
If you are not eligible for financial aid, the OSFA website also has information on private loans.
